Hypereutectic High Chromium Cast Iron (HHCCI) is a new type of corrosion-wear-resistant material developed from ordinary high chromium cast iron by increasing the and carbon content often used in abrasive environments where wear corrosion interact. The resistance HHCCI related to number, size, shape distribution carbides microstructure matrix. This paper reviews research progress improving various aspects such as primary carbide refinement, heat treatment, deep cooling treatment alloying, etc. Among methods refining are modification, semi-solid current pulse treatment. In addition, we also analyze potential Cr, V, Nb, Mo, Mn, W, Ni, Cu, Si, N other alloying elements improve HHCCI. mechanism for explored depth contents worthy attention proposed further future, author believes that modification + most application method can be improved (such adding rare earth, Ti modified elements) (with cryogenic treatment) strength low-cost, high-potential alloy Si)
